Customers find great cheese and a small-town USA experience in our Le Sueur retail shop. The Friendly Confines Cheese Shoppe opened in 2009 with a unique baseball and cow theme. Every child who visits the store is given a toy cow guaranteed to put a smile on their faces. Friends and families gather at the store for great food and some really fantastic products.
We offer a mix of world class cheeses and specialty foods. Customers can stand at the spotless, gleaming counter and purchase a delicious slice of warm pizza fresh from the brick oven between 11 and 2 each day of the week. The cheese shop is light and inviting, with a red quarry tile floor and beautiful Croswell Crème™ and Brownhill™ Cambria countertops. It has ample cooler and shelf space for display and clear descriptions of products and pricing.
Summertime shoppers can choose from four hard-pack ice cream flavors or soft serve and savor it on the patio’s outside seating where cow figures decked out in baseball uniforms delight kids and their families. Friendly, caring sales people direct you to just the right cheese and other items for a party or that perfect gift. You can pick up a ready-to-bake pizza to pop in the oven for a quick supper or social gathering.
Products are World Class
Our mission to offer fine cheese styles to our customers in order to enhance their knowledge and taste experience. The cheese offered is made locally, regionally and around the world, as well as at Davisco's cheese plant. Some of the fine cheese we carry include St Pete's Blue and Amablu Gorgonzola from Faribault, East Coast cheddar, Prima Donna Maturo, DaVinci Gouda and a wide variety of cheeses from Sartori, Blasers and Grassland. All mozzarella and smoked provolone used on the pizzas is freshly made at Davisco’s cheese plant.
The store offers many locally made specialty foods including meat items, coffee, root beer, chocolates, wild rice and dry mixes for chip dips. Many unique items, such as vintage sodas, Tuscan bread, and 1919 Rootbeer are on sale as well as a wide variety of cheese and shelf stable products. Davisco’s BiPro, is also sold at the shop.
Once people taste and enjoy the special cheeses and other food products available at The Friendly Confines, they stop regularly to purchase their favorites. Customers can select from an eclectic variety of favorably-priced world-class cheeses, purchased with the guidance of our knowledgeable staff.
